Humanity has risen to the stars and beyond. As their reach extends so does the strain on Earth’s government to control it all as many empires grown too fat have historically struggled to do. The Federation of Earth Colonies (FEC) own organization struggles to police itself as questionable things go on without being properly monitored. In an effort to keep control, the FEC created special agents empowered with the full authority of FEC to act in their stead. Raging at the breach of ethics and an inept government, the outer colonies call for the ability to self govern. Tensions blaze.

Ella and her brother Ronan are perfectly average outer colonists. Which is to say their agenda is filled entirely with the nefarious duties of surviving an alien frontier and keeping each other out of trouble. This rather peaceful way of being changes when they happen across an injured FEC agent while on patrol which leads to various unfortunate incidents which cause the siblings to flee towards rebellion.
